Symbolism, colors & shapes

The rubber fig stands for abundance, luck and wealth. According to the feng shui doctrine, its round leaves make it an ideal candidate for a corner to compensate for the sharp angles there. According to this apprenticeship, the wealth corner of the house in particular is a suitable location. Of course, you have to find out which corner in your apartment is first.

The rubber tree is known primarily as a variant with dark green, large and strong leaves. But there are also varieties with colorful leaves. The rubber tree grows very upright, so the plant does not need much space. A bit of room height though.

Origin

The rubber fig belongs to the mulberry family and is native to Asia. The plant's original homelands are primarily India, Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Java. In the wild, the plant grows into a large tree with many aerial roots. The name rubber tree is literally not entirely correct. The rubber tree does have white milky sap (natural rubber or latex) in the trunk and leaves. However, the plant is not used for commercial rubber or latex production.
